Some photos are quiet and understated. Others are more cinematic, stylised or dramatic. Most sit somewhere in between.

What matters most to me is that the photographs still feel natural to the person in them rather than overly polished or artificial.

The sessions themselves are relaxed and collaborative, but the photography is always taken seriously.

You don’t need to look a certain way

Most people I photograph are not models and many do not especially enjoy having their picture taken.

That’s completely normal.

You do not need to know how to pose, and you definitely do not need to suddenly become a confident extrovert for the camera.

Hi, I’m Reid

Black and white portrait of photographer Reid Williams in soft window light

I’m a portrait and boudoir photographer based in the Cotswolds.

My work focuses on people, expression, atmosphere and creating cinematic images that still feel believable.

Most clients I work with have never had a professional shoot before. My job is to make the process feel easy, comfortable and collaborative. There’s no pressure, awkwardness or any need to ‘perform’. The aim is just to create good photographs that still feel like you.

Whoever you are and whatever you’re hoping to achieve with your photographs, I’d really love to hear from you.

Sessions

Every shoot starts with a conversation about what you’re drawn to and how you want the images to feel.

Some people want something relaxed and minimal. Others want to lean into stronger styling, harder light or something a bit more expressive. There’s room for all of it.

The goal isn’t to force everyone into the same ‘look’; it’s to create images that suit you.

“As a 58-year-old woman, I wanted to feel confident enough to explore this side of myself, but I was incredibly nervous beforehand. I needn’t have worried. The session was relaxed, enjoyable and very well guided throughout. When I saw the final images, I honestly couldn’t believe they were me.”
— Mel

“I was very nervous beforehand, but Reid made the whole session feel relaxed and easy from the start. The shoot ended up being genuinely enjoyable, and I was thrilled with the final photographs.”
